Bent Photography
What is Bent Photography?
People are most familiar with photojournalism and the straight photography movement of the 1930s. Photographs are expected to be sharp, rich, and an accurate representation of what the photographer saw. I believe a photograph should be an original artistic creation. So I depart from reality to say what I have to say about my subjects. That’s not straight photography. And, if it isn’t straight, it must be bent.
